There is never an easy time to get away. There is so much planning involved that it starts eating away at any spontaneity. The idea to just pack a few things and drive has never been our strong suit.

We left for a three day trip yesterday and it took a week to pack and steady the house. We are here now and it is hard to relax and not think of what we left behind or what faces us when we return.

Oh to be a free thinker but our need for order and taking on responsibility overtakes our minds. We are destined to be home bodies — is that so bad?

I’ve been reading and listening. Passion is a word that gets thrown around in the media as a tool for success. I’m not sure that one word fits my brain connections. I know one thing for sure, I love to write.

Do I want to write as a hobby or truly make a product that I can share with the world. That is where I am.

I am known for chasing ideas as often as I get in my car to pursue a chore or an adventure. The phrase “a page a day” resonates and seems easily attainable.

Let’s see what a page a day turns into.

My garden died. What in the world happened. I planted with care and then hoped for the best … it decided that I was not serious about its success.

After watching the flowers wilt one by one, I realized that if I were to truly embrace gardening, I had to pay attention to the elements that give life to my plants.

I will start over and take more time and effort to know what I am doing. I need help…I will ask more questions.

As I start to branch out to try new experiences, I will take you along to watch the mistakes and wins.
