There is never an easy time to get away. There is so much planning involved that it starts eating away at any spontaneity. The idea to just pack a few things and drive has never been our strong suit.
We left for a three day trip yesterday and it took a week to pack and steady the house. We are here now and it is hard to relax and not think of what we left behind or what faces us when we return.
Oh to be a free thinker but our need for order and taking on responsibility overtakes our minds. We are destined to be home bodies — is that so bad?
